Meet Dr Adam Rose

September 17, 2009 by visitmog

    Dr Rose

Adam obtained his dental degree in 1993, and after 8 years in general practice completed his specialist orthodontic degree at the University of Melbourne.  He also held a teaching role at the University and gives the odd lecture from time to time.

Adam also worked at the Royal Children’s Hospital, and whilst there he was able to help many children, some with very challenging conditions.

He was welcomed as part of the MOG team in 2002.

A passionate family man, he and his wife Linda have three sons Jordan, Bailey and Asher.  Like most Melbournians, Adam is a footy fanatic and longs for the day that he and his children have the opportunity to watch their beloved Carlton Blues win the flag!

He also enjoys keeping fit by jogging, working out in the gym and playing squash.

A quick 5 with our Dr Rose:

  1. What was the defining moment that lead to your decision to specialize in orthodontics?
I was a teenage patient having orthodontic treatment and was quite mystified by the technology. The experience grabbed my interest and I aimed toward this goal through school and beyond. My orthodontist is now one of my business partners  – can you believe that!
  2. What is the worst part of your day? Depends on the day. No real worst part.
  3. What gives you the biggest buzz about your work? Happy patients and the reward from good results.
  4. Looking back, if you could give your 13-year-old self one piece of advice, what would you say? I would say be true to yourself, be honest and friendly, but most of all be happy. OK that’s four pieces of advice rolled into one!
  5. What’s your favorite holiday destination and why? Port Douglas – Paradise on earth. Love it!
