How to Tweet MOG

Mog-Tweet

Twitter is all the rage at the moment and we decided that it would be a fantastic way for you guys to let us know how things are going as you think of them.

So what exactly is the point of twitter?  It is just another fun way of connecting with people, in 140 characters.  Sure not everybody cares what you had for lunch or that you are brushing your teeth now (for a funny video spoof click here).

If you have a question or problem there is often somebody who can tweet you an answer, if you find something funny or you just need to share…you might be surprised who is listening!

You can visit our twitter home page here…@visitMOG of course!

How do I sign up?twitter logo

If you are new to twitter and wonder what it is all about, you will need to register yourself with a twitter account here.  Once you have your account and have synced your mobile phone, you can tweet directly via text message. At the moment it is an international text from Australia as there is no local number – so you will need to have global roaming on your phone.

But there are also a number of internet/computer based services. Try: Tweetdeck, Twhirl, Seesmic Desktop for a start.  This will allow you to tweet out for free!

Now you need to find people to follow!

Click on the find people button and see who you know who might be on twitter too!  There are many celebrities on Twitter now and you might like to follow them for fun, when you find somebody click the follow button and you will be able to see their tweets on your home page.  Visit this blog post for a list of some real and fake celebrity tweeters.

So you have an account, now what?

Either send out a generic message to the ‘twitterverse’ by typing your 140 characters and pressing send, or send a message that still joins the public stream but is directed to us by starting your message with the text @visitmog.

Twitter users have created a unique system of tagging messages on topic themes with the use of the hashtag # symbol.  We have setup #visitmog as a way of flagging braces experiences or messages about us.

So use either method to update us and we will find it…@visitmog or #visitmog.

See you in the twitter stream! Tweet tweet!
