Well it’s been nearly 2 weeks now so what wisdom do I have to impart? Applying lipstick requires a change in technique as the terrain is a bit more bumpy from the brackets under the lip. Washing your face also requires a more gentle technique around the mouth and cheek area. Oh my goodness!!!! Well let me just say that there are absolutely NO elegant ways to apply wax to your teeth…none! You take a blob of wax, about the size of a pea, and roll it around to soften it a little, then flatten it just a bit and hope it sticks to your finger. You then pull your cheek out and suck in some air to ‘dry’ the tooth and dive in… Your finger and thumb both have to get in there (not easy when the cheek is ulcerated already I can tell you!) and squeeze the wax onto/around the bracket ...
